Steve Wernert, president of Wernert Lawncare started the company back in 2008. Steve was born and raised in Pickerington Ohio and is a 2006 graduate from Pickerington North High School. Steve worked part time in the lawn business while also going to fire school and then onto EMT school. He eventually became a part time firefighter in his hometown at Violet Township Fire Department. Steve’s goal was initially have a part time business and be full time firefighter however the business had other plans for him in his younger years. His passion, hard work and dedication eventually led to hiring several employees and expanding the business. Steve got his fertilizer license in 2014 as another growing opportunity for the business. Several years later in 2019, Steve accepted a full time job at Violet township where he currently works as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Steve works his full time job while running Wernert Lawncare.

In his free time (when he has some) he enjoys hanging out at home by the pool, playing with his German Shepard Jaxx and spending time with family and friends.
