Lawn Insecticide Applications

GRUBS:

Summertime in Ohio means sunshine, golfing, fishing, hiking and outdoor barbeques. But what does it mean for your lawn? GRUBS!
Grubs are a tiny beetle larva that feed off of your lawn. Adult grubs lay eggs in your lawn below the surface.

Some common signs that you might have grubs include:

  • Browning areas of your lawn that will not recover even with rain or water

  • Sections of grass roll back easily when stepped on or kicked up

  • Any damage caused by moles, racoons, skunks or any other medium sized animal, as they consider grubs a food source and will dig through your lawn to get their snack.

If you are seeing these things happen to your lawn, we can help! We offer a grub killer application to remove the grubs from your lawn. We can help you prevent grubs when you sign up for a grub control application which is mixed in with your round 3 fertilizer treatment. This application must be done by early August to help prevent the grubs from destroying your lawn.

INSECT CONTROL:

Insects are always looking for opportunities to invade your lawn. We offer a comprehensive selection of products to handle all of your lawn needs. Sometimes as little as two insect treatments per year can make a huge difference in being able to enjoy your lawn.

In Ohio, the biggest question we receive is “These mosquitoes have taken over my yard, and I can’t even enjoy being outside. Can you help?”
Our answer, “YES WE CAN!”

Wernert Lawn Care can come and apply a liquid insecticide on your lawn. This will help keep mosquitoes away, but will also act as a barrier for lawn insects who can wreak havoc on your lawn. This application helps with insects such as army worms, chinch bugs and, of course, mosquitoes, just to name a few.

The product that we apply to your lawn is the same product that most pest companies would apply inside of your home, which means that once it has dried it is safe for your family and pets to enjoy the outdoors without those pesky bugs!
